About Henry County

Henry County (pop. 49,586) is located in East Central Indiana. Its county seat is New Castle (pop. 20,524). New Castle has experienced more than 4% growth since 1990. Continuous growth is projected well into the 21st century.

If Indiana is known as the "Crossroads of America," then Henry County is the intersection! Interstate 70, one of the major east-west routes in the nation, runs through the southern half of the county. New Castle is located just 6 miles north of Exit 123. US 40 and State Road 3 are major 4-lane highways.
